2001 Annual Meeting – Continuing Education – Columbus, GA

Continuing education offerings at the 2001 joint ALHeLA/GHSLA meeting included hands-on experience in two exciting areas. Chandra Alston taught “Bringing Your Library’s Resources to the Web,” which covered everything from selecting what should go on a library’s web page to how it should look. The course helped attendees in designing and developing easy to navigate web sites, evaluating existing sites, and marketing their sites.

The second offering was Bryan Vogh’s “Super Searcher” class. Bryan, who serves as the Internet Coordinator for NNLM/SEA, on the advanced features and the cutting edge of web searching. Attendees received first-hand experience in using various search engines, search strategies, and compared features of online search tools.
