Recommend a student or consider applying for the annual GHSLA Legacy Scholarship. The Legacy Scholarship was established to provide assistance to a student enrolled in a library and information studies program who intends to pursue a career in health sciences librarianship. The individual must be a current student attending an accredited program with a minimum of 9 earned credit hours. The scholarship will cover registration for the Annual GHSLA meeting and one nights lodging. This award recognizes a member of the Association who has made significant contributions to the profession through overall distinction or leadership in hospital library administration or service; production of a definitive publication related to hospital librarianship, teaching, research, or advocacy; or development or application of innovative technology to
hospital librarianship. This award was first presented in 1991, but in 1999 it was renamed in honor of Lois Ann Colaianni.
